Lisbon and Singapore: two maps to explore each city step by step

The maps «Lisboa esencial» (Essential Lisbon) and «Singapur en ocho pasos» (Singapore in Eight Steps) locate each city's key places. They were published in Viajes National Geographic no. 319.

These two maps appeared in Viajes National Geographic no. 319 (October 2026) and accompany the features on Lisbon and Singapore. Each one uses numbers to mark the places the magazine suggests for getting to know the city.

The Lisbon map (p. 73), «Lisboa esencial», marks five areas: Alfama, Baixa, Chiado, Bairro Alto and Belém. Zoom in and you can pick out the Tagus River, the 25 de Abril Bridge and Monsanto Forest Park. Landmarks such as Praça do Comércio, the Santa Justa Lift, the Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower are also labelled. It accompanies the article by Espido Freire.

The Singapore map (p. 108), «Singapur en ocho pasos», follows eight stops, from Changi to Sentosa Island. They include Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, Chinatown, Little India, the Botanic Gardens and Kampong Glam. Zoomed in, it shows districts such as Novena, Kallang, Queenstown and Tanglin, as well as Brani Island, the Singapore Strait and a 2 km scale bar. It accompanies the feature by Zigor Aldama, which describes Little India, the Sultan Mosque in Kampong Glam and the murals of Haji Lane.
